6- Wayne Thiebaud Cakes: Inspired by the artist, we created cakes with a piece cut out and learned about shading with color. We also talked about creating contrast with our background colors.
6- One Point Perspective Winter Words: Students came up with adjectives to describe the weather that week. Then, following my tutorial, they created letters for their adjective in one point perspective.

7- Landscapes: These landscapes were inspired by the works of Ton Schulten and incorporated geometric shapes and analogous colors using chalk pastels.

8th Grade Cycle Art
8- Sugar Skulls: Learning all about facial structure, proportion, symmetry, pattern and balance
8- Self- Portraits using Grids: This unit was inspired by Chuck Close and his grid method. We talked about value scales and how to draw what we see inside each grid square.
8- Sculptures: This additive method of sculpture was inspired by the works of Louise Nevelson.
